This time, i am going to introduce "Sand Sculpture" - a new form of art with sand. When it comes to Sand Sculpture, most of us will think about "Fulong Sand Sculpture Art Festival", the biggest competition about this art in Taiwan.Let's is look some works.
1st - Guan Yu
2nd - elephant in the dream
3rd - an eagle which is catching fish
They are so beautiful and amazing, aren't them? As well. you may wonder how this kind of art be done.
Because those works are so big, we have to use wood board to help us build models.
After the model has been done, then we can begin to fill it with sand and water.
Besides, when filling sand and water, we have to use "wakker(築路用震動器)" to make it harder.
After them, we can begin to carve our work. We have to carve it from top to bottom, and remove the board during the time.
Finally, let's see some great sculpture!!
Haha! I think the words in this article aren't over 150. But these sculptures are awesome. I have watched them on TV before.
